Mid December update

We had a great weekend. I went for a nice snowy run on saturday morning with my friend Tammy and then we did bootcamp at her gym. After that we drove down to Markesan with Katie and Thor....imagine this, our Infiniti was packed to the rim with "stuff" and 4 people and 2 dogs! :) It was fun. We were supposed to have Andy's moms christmas on Sunday but it was cancelled due to the weather. So we drove home, slowly, and relaxed.

Not much going on this week. 2 puppy classes, a dinner out with some girl friends, and a long weekend with no plans!

I can't believe Christmas vacation is coming up soon.....looking forward to having a week and a half off!

Wow it's been ages!

Ok it has been a really, super, duper long time since I've updated. I have no pictures to share at this point because I'm at work. However, I wanted to provide a few updates:

• We lost Jada in April of last year, that was such a heartbreaking experience. I can't believe we lost both our beautiful boxers within 10 months.
• On a happier note, we brought home our new female boxer, Treasyn on my birthday (October 15th) and she's been a joy to have. We truly missed having a dog in our home.
• We also have a cat, Baby Jaguar (named by Ayla of course) that we brought home this past spring.
• Ayla is in Pre-K at the Y and loving it. She won't talk to her teachers, or at least that's what they said a few weeks ago. Hopefully she starts chatting with them more. She's learning so much and amazing us each day!
• Andy was home for 9 months straight, that's never happened in our whole life together!! He's now back to traveling, typically gone for a week and then home on the weekends
• We are looking forward to the Holidays this year with our families. Hopefully a vacation is right around the corner after we start 2011.

Overdue update

So this update is way overdue. I'm really slacking at keeping this blog updated and I apologize for that!

• Andy is back in France....one week down, one to go. It was nice to have Andy home for 2 weeks over the holidays.
• Andy and I are going to Riviera Maya February 10-15 and we are really looking forward to it. A much needed vacation. I will miss Ayla SO MUCH...but it will be nice for Andy and I to have some alone time. It's hard when he's gone so much....
• Andy will be going back to France after our vacation and then he's scheduled to go to Russia mid March.
• Work is keeping me busy. I am moving off one project onto another and I'm looking forward to a new challenge.
• Working out is great - I'm glad to have Aleigh join me.
• Pretty soon I'll begin training for my second 1/2 marathon in May.

Not much else is really new here. Ayla keeps me busy, which is great. She has such a personality and I love that!

Updates on "us"

• I'm on vacation yet this week. Nothing big planned, other than teaching at noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Andy is home this week - he leaves for France on Monday the 5th for 3 weeks.
• Ayla is enjoying all of her toys. She got so many neat things (the pic below is one of the gifts from my parents - she LOVES this!)
• Dora is definitely one of Ayla's favorite things. I can't tell you how many times I have watched the same Dora DVD over and over again. I picked up a few more at Walmart so I don't have to watch the same one.
• Arianna is here this week. Aleigh is on vacation so hopefully we can get together with the girls often so they can play.
• We have no big plans for new years - no babysitter so we'll probably tote Ayla with us wherever we go - that means early night!
• Looking forward to having a babysitter on Saturday night so that Andy and I can go out to dinner.
• Andy and I are planning a mini vacation - probably to Vegas.

Christmas Eve 2008

On Christmas Eve Andy and I let Ayla open a few presents from us so that she could play with them for a few days...before opening her presents from everyone else. The biggest item we got her was the Rose Petal Cottage which she LOVES. She calls it "Stinkers House" (stinker is one of her nicknames). Here are a few pics - enjoy!
