- I'm on vacation yet this week. Nothing big planned, other than teaching at noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Andy is home this week - he leaves for France on Monday the 5th for 3 weeks.
- Ayla is enjoying all of her toys. She got so many neat things (the pic below is one of the gifts from my parents - she LOVES this!)
- Dora is definitely one of Ayla's favorite things. I can't tell you how many times I have watched the same Dora DVD over and over again. I picked up a few more at Walmart so I don't have to watch the same one.
- Arianna is here this week. Aleigh is on vacation so hopefully we can get together with the girls often so they can play.
- We have no big plans for new years - no babysitter so we'll probably tote Ayla with us wherever we go - that means early night!
- Looking forward to having a babysitter on Saturday night so that Andy and I can go out to dinner.
- Andy and I are planning a mini vacation - probably to Vegas.

Christmas Eve 2008
On Christmas Eve Andy and I let Ayla open a few presents from us so that she could play with them for a few days...before opening her presents from everyone else. The biggest item we got her was the Rose Petal Cottage which she LOVES. She calls it "Stinkers House" (stinker is one of her nicknames). Here are a few pics - enjoy!

Crafts & Cuddling
After we got home, Ayla did a little project. She really just wanted to use the glue she saw on the counter. LOL Then later, she was cuddling Bentley.

12/14 Cookie Making
Tomorrow is the christmas party for the kids at the babysitters. So I made some chocolate chip and sugar cookies. When Ayla woke up from her nap, she helped me decorate them! Here are a few pics:

Update on us
- Andy is in France - one week down, one week to go. We are looking forward to having him home soon! We miss him.
- I am almost done with work for the year. I have the last 2 weeks of December off. I had alot of PTO left - I like to hold on to some of it, because with Ayla now you never know when she might get sick. I am looking forward to the vacation - just not sure what I'll do every day. :)
- Ayla is growing up so fast. She talks so much, it's amazing.
- Ayla's new favorite song to sing is "Jingle Bells".
- I hate winter. (What's new tho?)
- I have all my christmas presents bought (all but 1, I think) and now I just need to have a wrapping party. LOL
Here are a couple of pics of Ayla from today. She loves to wear Andy's safety glasses....and of course she always has to have a purse (wonder where she gets that from?).

Update on us
- Andy left yesterday for France for the week. This will be our first Thanksgiving apart - ever. I hope he has a great trip! I'm excited for him.
- Ayla is getting bigger by the day and the things she says are amazing. It's nice to be able to have conversations with her. LOL
- Ayla has a memory like her Papa Keith. She hears a song on the radio just a couple times and she can sing along with it. I think the memory skipped a generation because I certainly don't remember things like she does.
- When we pull up to the coffee shop downtown that Papa Keith frequents, Ayla always says "See Papa"!
- When we drive by Petco, Ayla always says "KITTIES"! And if we don't stop - she has meltdown. It's best to not drive by Petco unless we want to stop. LOL
- I'm excited to see Ayla's reaction when Arianna comes in December.
- I have enjoyed working out with Aleigh the last 2 weeks. She's doing awesome and I'm so proud of her.
I think that's it. I probably could post alot more - I'll do that as I think of things. :)

Halloween 2008
Andy, Aleigh and I took Ayla trick or treating on Halloween. She kept her costume on for a whole 2 houses, then wanted the top off. But she still looked cute. She was somewhat confused as to what we were doing.....LOL.

10/4 - Ayla & her friend Shasta
Last weekend Mick, Sheryl, Wyatt and Shasta (our old neighbors from Darboy) came for a visit and a cookout. Shasta is 2 1/2 weeks older than Ayla. They had a great time! The girls were being quiet so Sheryl and I decided to go and check on them and found there here:

Our trip to the pumpkin patch - 9/28
We took Ayla to Cuff's Strawberry Farm, just outside of Hortonville, to pick pumpkins. You pay $6/person and you get to ride in a hay wagon out to the patch. That $6 also includes: 1 large pumpin, 1 small pumpkin, 1 gourd and 2 ears of indian corn (per person). Ayla had a blast. They also have bunnies in a cage - so she got to see them as well. It was a nice fall day to go pumpkin picking (my first time also!)
